Back to work on Tuesday after a few days off work. First day of work and one colleague's on leave and another's on MC... how lucky... Oh well, I guess I prefer when there's work rather when there's nothing to do. Time really passes by faster when you are busy. Its amazing how a week can pass by so quickly. Things not going too good at EB... afterall, its a historically low season, with the rain coming in almost everday, and almost all school going people having exams. Hopefully we'll be able to tide by this difficult period. I'm really glad that I've managed to do up the place quite a bit. Now it looks more restuarant like and more pleasant to the eye, hope the customers will notice and come back more often... haha

Long weekend
Finally a short reprieve from work. Was so relieved to step out of the office on friday for my one and a half day leave. Including the weekend, thats like three and a half day off from the office!
Guess its because the year is coming to an end soon and everyone is not really in the mood for work. You can really sense the holiday mood when all your colleagues start planning their leave so that they do not overlap with one another. Looking forward to my one week break in December.. one more month to go but this long weekend will do for the time being.
Wanted to touch up EB over the weekend so went to Ikea with KW to buy some stuff after work on Friday ie. extra shoe racks, magazine racks and a footstool for customers to sit on when putting on their shoes. Its not a good month at EB with the tertiary exams going on at full force so its definately a good time to do some little improvements to the restuarant. After dropping off the stuff at EB, went to rent "Butterfly Effect" and "Click" to watch over at KW's place.
Was at EB the whole of Saturday. Managed to put up food pictures at the stairway(which was done at a bargain price of approx $40 for 4) and was quite satisfied with the outcome. Business seemed good but at the end of day, the revenue for the day was still somewhat disappointing. Guess the bulk of the customers were only ordering drinks, not exactly revenue generating orders. We must definately work on something to change image of EB as not just a hangout place but also as a good place for a meal, otherwise revenues not going to increase anywhere.
Idyllic sunday.... caught up on some sleep as had a late night driving all the staff home. Went for a haircut with WL and now back home to relax. Will pop down to EB later in the evening to do some drilling after the shop closes to put up the IKEA magaine racks... Really feels good that tommorow is a non-working day. Will work on gaining financial freedom so don't have to work for money....
